Step 4: Admission Interview

Some universities conduct admission interview as part of the evaluation on their potential candidates. The interview panel is interested in assessing how well you seem to fit into the programme that you are applying for.

It is a chance for you to convince them that you are what they look for by elaborating your academic performance, relevant experience and skills. Below are some advice for you to prepare for an admission interview:

Do some researches

Do some researches on the programme applied and faculty members of that programme, such as course structure, admission statistics, and research interest of faculty members.

Review your application document

Review your application document including your personal statement and resume.

Your strengths and weaknesses

Be prepared to talk about your strengths as well as your weaknesses, and how will you overcome these weaknesses.

Your personality and skills

Interviewers are interested to know your personality and skills that are important to succeed in postgraduate study.
