Local Internships

There are 2 types of local internship programmes,

Credit bearing internship

The credit-bearing internship is handled by individual faculty.

Grades will be given by related faculty members and it is considered as part of the curriculum, so local or non-local students can take part in internships if they have taken the relevant internship courses.

Please check with your faculty to see if your study programme includes an “internship course”.

Non-credit bearing internship

The non-credit bearing internship is facilitated by our center.

According to Regulamento Administrativo n.º 17/2004 and Lei n.º 10/2017, only Macau ID holders are eligible to take part in non-credit bearing local internship.
You may find the internship opportunities on UM Student Job Vacancy E-system . Please contact internship providers to apply for the internship according to the instructions.
We issue internship certificates to students if they fulfill the following requirements before the deadline.

Before starting the internship, students need to ask internship providers to fill in the Internship Program Confirmation Form with attachment of job description to us.
After completing the internship, students need to provide the performance evaluation form completed by their internship supervisors and submit the student report with photos to us.

Mar – Apr

You may learn the application and internship programme details through Student E-bulletin Board. You are encouraged to subscribe to our WeChat and website to receive activity information.

You will need to attend selection interviews conducted by us and/or internship providers

You will need to confirm internship offers with internship providers

You are required to attend our internship pre-departure briefing

Jun – Aug

Internship period

You need to submit the intern’s performance evaluation form completed by the internship provider, student’s report, and photos to us, in order to have the internship certificate.
